Aqara calls the U300 its first lever lock, and that is the whole point of it: it replaces the lever or knob on a single-bore door, with the fingerprint reader sitting in the handle where your hand already is. You get the same Matter-over-Thread local control and Apple Home Key as the U200, in lever form rather than over a deadbolt. Fingerprint events still do not reach Home Assistant. Pick it for a door that locks at the handle, not for a door with a separate deadbolt.
