Quick verdict

A basic warm white dimmable bulb. No tunable white, no color, just 2700K warm dimming. That sounds limiting, but for closets, hallways, and garages it is all you need. You still get Hue's excellent dimming curve and Zigbee mesh reliability. Each bulb also acts as a router, strengthening your network. If you already own a Hue Bridge, these are the cheapest way to put smart lights in every room. For Home Assistant, you can also pair directly through ZHA with a compatible Zigbee coordinator; a separate Hue Bridge is not required for that setup.
