Quick verdict

The SNZB-02P is the screenless sibling of the SNZB-02D already on this site: a Zigbee 3.0 temperature and humidity sensor with a rated accuracy of 0.2 C and 2 percent RH, a CR2477 cell SONOFF says lasts up to four years, and a price that makes one per room reasonable. On Zigbee2MQTT it is a supported device with OTA updates and calibration offsets, and it is fully local. The ZHA story is less clean: a Home Assistant issue describes it reporting once at pairing and then going silent, closed as not planned, with some owners fixed by a device firmware update and others moving to Zigbee2MQTT. I would buy it for a Zigbee2MQTT setup without hesitation and for ZHA with that caveat in mind. I haven't run this one; the notes come from the spec sheet, the Home Assistant integration docs and what other owners report.

Standout: Swiss-made sensing element rated at plus or minus 0.2 C and 2 percent RH, in a sensor that costs about as much as a coin cell and a coffee.

• Zigbee2MQTT users who want a cheap, accurate climate sensor in every room
• humidity-driven automations such as bathroom fans and dehumidifiers
• closets, crawlspaces and fridges where a display is pointless

Avoid if

• you run ZHA and do not want to chase a firmware update or reporting configuration if it goes quiet
• you have no Zigbee coordinator
• you want a readout on the device (get the SNZB-02D)

Privacy and local-control notes

A plain Zigbee 3.0 end device. Paired to ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT it never touches SONOFF's eWeLink cloud, and the readings stay in your own Home Assistant history.

Buying reality check

Price notes: Budget band; SONOFF's own page did not show me a price on 2026-09-06 and the sibling SNZB-02D with a display sold for about $16 on Amazon in August 2026, so expect this screenless model at or below that. Uses a CR2477 cell, less common in shops than the CR2032.
