Quick verdict
The Level Bolt is the lock for people who do not want a smart lock on show. It replaces the bolt mechanism inside a standard deadbolt and leaves the outside of the door, the thumb-turn and your keys as they were. The version Level sells today is Matter over Thread, which is what makes it interesting for Home Assistant: pair it through the Matter integration with a Thread border router near the door and you get a local lock entity with no Level cloud in the loop. The Level Lock+ in this catalogue is no longer sold new, so this is the current retrofit pick. Two cautions. Older Bolts were Bluetooth-only and I could not find a Level statement that they get a Matter update, so check the box says Matter. And Level's own extras, key cards, access codes and history, live in the Level app and its Connect bridge, not in Matter. I haven't run this one; the notes come from the spec sheet, the Home Assistant integration docs and what other owners report.
Standout: Replaces only the inside of a standard American deadbolt, so the door, the thumb-turn and your existing keys all stay exactly as they were.
