The T9's room sensors are its real selling point - you can tell it which room matters right now and it'll prioritize comfort there. Beyond that, it's a cloud-heavy thermostat with mediocre local control. Fine for mainstream smart homes, frustrating for local-first setups. Note that Honeywell has discontinued the T9, so you are buying remaining stock; its successor, the Honeywell Home X8S, is Matter certified and takes the same wireless room sensors.
