Roborock Saros 20 robot vacuum and mop with its RockDock base station

Quick verdict

The Saros 20 is a 36,000 Pa Roborock robot with a climbing chassis and a hot-water RockDock, and Roborock's US page lists Matter as supported. Over Matter, Home Assistant's own docs say the controls are limited, so maps and rooms still need the Roborock app or its cloud-based integration. I haven't run this one; the notes come from Roborock's US product page and the Home Assistant docs.

Standout: Roborock robot with a climbing chassis, a hot-water mop dock and Matter support.

Local control facts

  • Home Assistant: matter integration, Local Push (home-assistant.io, checked Nov 7, 2026)

Why it stands out

  • 36,000 Pa suction and a climbing chassis rated for double-layer thresholds up to 3.46 inches, per Roborock
  • RockDock with 212F hot-water mop washing, warm-air drying, auto emptying and detergent dosing
  • Roborock lists it as Matter supported, so Home Assistant can control it locally without the Roborock cloud

Reasons to hesitate

  • Roborock says the product requires the Roborock app and won't work as intended without it
  • Home Assistant's docs say Matter control of Roborock vacuums is limited to a few entities; maps and routines need the cloud-based Roborock integration

Best for

  • homes with high thresholds or thick carpet that want a top-end mop and vacuum
  • Home Assistant users who want basic local start and dock control over Matter

Avoid if

  • you want full room and map control from Home Assistant without a Roborock account
  • you don't want a camera on a robot that roams your home

Privacy and local-control notes

The robot carries an RGB camera for stain and obstacle recognition, and Roborock says the product requires the Roborock app and acceptance of its terms. Matter control from Home Assistant runs locally; maps and most settings stay in the Roborock app.

Home Assistant support: supported · integration path: matter.
