The Strip Light 2 Pro is Govee's RGBWW segment strip with Matter over Wi-Fi, so Home Assistant gets local on/off, dimming and color without the Govee cloud. Over Matter it is one light: segment effects and scenes stay in the Govee app, which is why I rate the Home Assistant fit fair rather than good. I haven't run this one; the notes come from Govee's US product page, the CSA listing and Matter Survey data.
Standout: An RGBWW segment strip that also pairs to Home Assistant over Matter on Wi-Fi.

RGBWW LEDs with 10 cuttable segments per meter, per Govee
Matter over Wi-Fi, so Home Assistant controls it locally with no Govee cloud in the path
Reasons to hesitate
over Matter it shows up as a single color light, so segment effects, DreamView sync and the 100-plus preset scenes stay in the Govee Home app
Govee notes the 1000K-10000K white range needs Govee Home app V7.6.10
indoor only and not water resistant, per Govee's spec table
Best for
behind-TV, shelf and cabinet lighting that Home Assistant turns on, dims and colors locally
Govee app users who also want the strip in Home Assistant without a cloud integration
Avoid if
you want per-segment effects driven from Home Assistant
you need an outdoor or waterproof strip
Privacy and local-control notes
Matter over Wi-Fi light strip. On/off, brightness and color from Home Assistant stay on your LAN; segment effects, scenes and the AI lighting features live in the Govee Home app.
Home Assistant support: supported · integration path: matter.
