Quick verdict
A serious automatic water shut-off: a full-port stainless ball valve that joins ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT directly and reports state, position and battery for local leak automations. It is mains-powered (with optional AAA or UPS backup), so site it near an outlet and lean on a nearby mains Zigbee router for mesh reliability. Two caveats before you shop, both current as of August 2026. It is a true inline valve with threaded connections, so unlike the clamp-on actuators it goes into the pipe itself and most people will want a plumber. And Sinope now markets the Zigbee SKU as a secondary valve to its Wi-Fi VA4220WF primary rather than as a standalone product, having retired its US store, so US stock is reseller-dependent. Paired to your own coordinator it still behaves as an ordinary local Zigbee valve; the change is how Sinope sells it, not how it works.
Standout: A full-port stainless motorized water shut-off valve rated to 145 PSI that pairs to any Zigbee coordinator for fully local leak-shutoff - no Sinope hub.
