IKEA discontinued the whole SYMFONISK range in January 2026 when its eight-year partnership with Sonos ended, so this is clearance or secondhand stock only. Do not plan a multiroom build around adding matching speakers later. If you already own one, or find one cheap, it remains the cheapest way into the locally-controllable Sonos ecosystem: it appears in HA as a Sonos media_player controlled locally over UPnP, and pairs with Music Assistant to stream your own library. IKEA and Sonos both say existing speakers keep working, with software updates and customer service continuing.
